Brothers
when you swore me in as President of this great Chapter in Alpha, I PROMISED
you that I would lead us to winning the Georgia District Chapter of the year
and restore our past glory before the end of my Presidency. We reached that
goal together on January 10, 2009 at our District Convention in College Park.
After GOD allowed us to have that great victory, we turned our attention to
winning the prestigious Alpha South Regional Alumni Chapter of the Year. As
each of you know, Alpha South is the largest and
most competitive Region in all of our GREAT Fraternity. This year's
Regional was one of the most competitive in recent memory. Our Brothers from
AL, MS, NC, SC, TN and FL all had great displays to showcase their work over
the past Fraternal year. In the end it all came down to GA and FL as many of us
anticipated. It was very close but our presentation separated us! I am
proud to announce that our COLLECTIVE WORK enabled us
to be named the 2009 Alpha Southern Regional Alumni Chapter of the YEAR ON
SUNDAY, March 29, 2009 @ our Regional Convention here in Atlanta! All Alpha Chapters in Alpha
South are great and now we are the GREATEST!
I
want to thank my two Senior Advisors Brothers James
T. Bennett(who nominated me for President) and Brother George Moss
who have guided me with wisdom and direction over this past year and a half. I
also want to thank Brother Greg Bailey for reclaiming me in 2004 during an MLK
Parade in dwntn Stone Mountain. Also, THANK YOU TO EACH
COMMITTEE CHAIR FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK THAT MADE THIS AWARD POSSIBLE!
Thank you to each Chapter Brother who has sacrificed their time, talent and
tithe to make the past year a RESOUNDING success!!!

COMMITTEE WHO WORKED WITH HIM ON OUR DISPLAY!

thank you for embracing my leadership style and vision. I knew that I was the
"new kid" on the block when I joined this Chapter in 2004 and yet you
trusted me and gave me a chance. I know that I am a very tough but balanced
leader and I want to thank each of you for buying into my vision almost two
years ago when you elected me President of this great Chapter. THERE IS NO LIMIT TO WHAT A MAN CAN ACHIEVE IF HE DOES NOT
CARE WHO THE CREDIT GOES TO! It is truly an honor to serve as
your President. Destiny does not come to those who wait
for her, Destiny comes to those who go and meet her! While there have
been moments that I have been tough as a leader, I have always felt that greatness is never attained by the timid but by the
tenacious! Again, thank you for trusting my leadership and vision!!!!
All Alpha roads now lead to The Crescent City of New Orleans,
Louisiana. We must now turn our attention to winning the National Chapter of
the Year at our 103rd Anniversary Convention in New Orleans July 15-19, 2009!
We have much work to do between now and then and I am challenging each of you
to help me to push this last leg of the race in the waning months of my
Presidency. We need EACH of you in order to win the National Chapter of the
Year. In
the words of Caesar Augustus I will "make haste
slowly" to lead you to more Alpha greatness!
