We have officially completed the
workshops/modules portion of the ALPHA Leadership Program.
We are gearing up for our college tour and our
end-of-the program awards banquet. Please stay tuned for more directions on
the banquet.
Ad
Book/Fundraiser - Please remember that ads (in the correct format)
and ad monies for the ad book were
due Saturday, March 14th.
Remember, all students are expected to participate in the
ad book sales. Those students that are going on the college tour will get
dollar for dollar credit towards their trip for all ads collected.
The correct format for ads are documents
formatted in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher on a CD (or sent via
e-mail to contactus@theleadfoundation.org)
Annual Spring Break
College Tour
Due to non-fulfillment of financial obligations, a
number of seats have become available. If you are interested, please
contact us ASAP as those seats will be issued on a first come first serve
basis. Tour payments can be made at
www.theleadfoundation.org/programnews.html#Tour
The deadline for full payment was
March 14th. Therefore, if you are interested in a seat, full payment
($500) is due immediately.

Spring Break
College Tour
This years tour is tentatively scheduled to include the following
colleges and universities: Virginia Union University, Hampton University,
Christopher Newport University, Norfolk State University, Howard
University.
And That's Not ALL!!!
PLUS, a Day at the Capital in Washington, D.C. and a private meeting with
the staff of The Honorable Congressman, David Scott!! then
FINALLY ...A stop at the Kings Dominion Theme Park!! You may reserve your

AALR - African American Leadership
Roundtable will be hosting a Walk-A-Thon on April 3rd at 1:00pm @ Norcross
High School to support Relay For Life. The event is open to the
community and tickets can be purchased daily for $3.00 during lunch in the
commons (cafeteria). For more information contact Norcross High
School at 770- 447-2644. You must have a ticket if you plan
on attending. Students with tickets will be excused from sixth period to
participate.
Alpha Phi Alpha
A big Congratulations goes out to
James Crumel for becoming the Vice President-Elect of the Southern Region
of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

We would also like to thank Tia
Wright, former Alpha Leadership Program Student and Sophomore at Valdosta
State University for her wonderful work with the students this past
weekend. I know I learned a lot from her experience. Keep up the
great work, Tia.
