Brothers of the Great District of Georgia:

I greet you in the true spirit of the fraternity. It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I invite you to the 2010 Georgia District Convention. On behalf Georgia District Board of Directors, and in accordance with the Georgia District Constitution, Article II, Section 8.1, I issue this call to convene the 54^th Georgia District Convention. All roads are now leading to Augusta, Georgia. From January 28^th to January 30^th, the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites will be transformed into the House of Alpha. The host chapters for this year’s convention are Alpha Chi Lambda – Augusta and Eta Alpha – Paine College. The Host Committee is working hard to insure that we have an excellent and informative convention.

At this year’s Georgia District Convention we will conduct the business of Alpha; we will be educated and informed through educational workshops and seminars; and we will renew the bonds of brotherhood and have a fraternal good time. The feature of this year’s convention will be the Fraternal Luncheon which features the 33^rd General President Bro. Herman “Skip” Mason as the keynote speaker.

The convention will begin on Thursday January 28, 2010 at 6:00 pm with the Georgia District Board of Directors meeting. All Brothers are welcomed to attend the District’s Board Meeting. The first business session will start promptly at 8:00 am on Friday January 29, 2010. All chapters are required to have their Delegates at the opening session and submit their Chapter Evaluation Report.

The official convention hotel is the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites located at Two Tenth Street, Augusta, Georgia 30901. The room rate is $109 for singles and doubles.
